Karibus coming to Yorkshire and back to London

After months of negotiations, Karibus feel its time to announce their plans to start operation in Yorkshire and return to London in 2021. The decision was made at the back end of 2019 however the pandemic put a pause on these plans, subsequently deals were needed to be renegotiated to reflect the new economy - successfully.

Garage space in Yorkshire has already been secured with the First Bus operations being purchased for a fair fee of £2.8m - this includes all routes and buses operating out of their base. A date for takeover has been officially set for August 12th 2021.

Karibus' London return is set for September 5th 2021, as they have won the contracts for TfL routes 432 and P5 with new buses already on order to work alongside an existing pool of ex London buses. Karibus have also secured RRP work within the capital from this date and are also set to introduce a sightseeing service in central London. Garage space has yet to be officially secured however sites around Kennington and Streatham have been noted already.
